After a lot of research, we found raw materials that exceed, in terms of quality, the textiles we already had, which allows us, with Medik-Easy Plus, Medisoft Plus and Medik-Elite Plus introduce on the market a new range of high quality covers at much more affordable prices.
People allergic to mites will all be relieved in the same way: thanks to a good barrier fabric. It is of such a fabric that are formed our three covers. They have, as a minimum, the following common characteristics: sealing, breathability, resistance. What distinguishes them is the level of quality. We offer three levels of quality.The classification criterion for our covers is density. Allergo Medik’s next-generation covers are made of weft and warp fabrics based on high-density, multifilamentary technical polyester yarns. These high-density fabrics are superior to conventional fibre fabrics, due to their excellent properties combined with low weight.
What is meant by density? Density here means the material of the thread, it is proportional to the number of microfilaments united in a single thread. The quality/density ratio of this type of tissue can be compared to the quality/definition ratio of a screen. The higher the definition, the better the image quality. Similarly here, the higher the density (the more microfilaments are combined into a single thread), the better the quality of the fabric, the better the protection, the greater the comfort, the resistance, etc.
Fabrics woven from synthetic yarns made of a multitude of continuous microfilaments have a very compact structure. This compactness explains the narrowness of the pores or gaps between the microfilaments inside the threads and between the threads themselves. It is this high density or compactness that provides high-level barrier protection against mite allergens. A protection that even tends to increase with time, since with each wash, the threads take on a slight volume, the space between the threads thus tends to shrink, which improves the sealing of the fabric, without making it lose its breathability.
